Hazel Davis serves as Vice President, Compliance and Community Development Officer for Jefferson Bank, headquartered in San Antonio. In her role, she manages compliance risk and oversees community programs and partnerships. She has spent more than 20 years in the banking industry focusing on Compliance and Risk Management, and is a Certified Enterprise Risk Professional, a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, and a Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer.

Hazel is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Graduate School of Banking and received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration & Accounting from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska, graduating cum laude. She is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Risk Management School, the Independent Community Bankers of America Compliance School, and the Texas Bankers Association Compliance School.

The community programs and initiatives under Hazel’s leadership are industry recognized, receiving a Leaders in Financial Education award and Cornerstone award from the Texas Bankers Foundation, in addition to two Corporate Philanthropy & Nonprofit awards from the San Antonio Business Journal. She has been recognized as an Emerging Leader by the American Bankers Association and Texas Bankers Association and is also a recipient of a San Antonio Business Journal 40 under 40 award.

A native of San Antonio, Hazel is proud to support her community through committee and board service. Hazel currently serves as Treasurer for Prosper West San Antonio, is immediate past President of Financial Women in Texas, a member of the Texas Bankers Association Bank Leadership Council, and Chair of the San Antonio Area Foundation’s Livable and Resilient Communities Community Advisory Council. She is an alumnus of Leadership San Antonio Class 44 and serves on the membership committee of the Leadership San Antonio Alumni Association.


Cara Davis is a sixth grader at Eisenhower Middle School where she is a member of the academic UIL and debate teams. Cara enjoys learning and has a passion for science, engineering, and theater. She has participated in numerous community theater productions, including starring as young Simba in the Lion King Jr. Cara enjoys giving back to the community and has participated in mobile pantry food distributions, community cleanups, and charity walks and fundraisers. Together with her mom, a Junior League of San Antonio sustainer and prior board member, Cara is honored to raise money for Clarity Child Guidance Center in support of children’s mental wellness.
