Christian Reed-Ogba, born and raised in Detroit, MI, attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor where she pieced together a degree program in public relations.  After relocating to San Antonio in 2011 she launched BethanyEast PR, LLC alongside her husband, Uchennaya Ogba.  Christian has served as a mentor for the Bizwomen Breakfasts hosted by the San Antonio Business Journal as well as with the Business Opportunities Academy hosted by Launch SA.  Her clientele has matured every year as she's provided public relations, strategic marketing, and corporate event planning services for some of San Antonio's largest municipal and private offices.  She's amassed accomplishments that include being named SABJ 40 Under 40 in 2017, NY Life Woman of the Year in 2018, and the inaugural keynote speaker of the Hustle & Socialize Conference. In 2019 the Ogbas rebranded their firm to EHCU Public Relations, while partnering with business friends to open a new flagship office in Downtown San Antonio.

Why have you decided to serve as a Trailblazer for the JLSA?

My brother suffered in his adult years from childhood trauma, he worked hard to create a thriving career in 3D imaging and product design.  I want to do everything I can to make sure as many children as possible get the care they need to lead great lives.

Who and/or what inspires you to pave a path in our community (be a community leader/participant)?

I am inspired by the life of people that have overcome trauma - and by the families and organizations that support them.  My brother took his life in 2018 - at age 33.  From the outside looking in, he flourished, but internally he was in extreme amounts of pain and anguish.  He tried and fought a great fight - living a beautiful life across three continents. I am inspired at his willingness to live as best he could by making this donation in his honor.
